Help Wanted!

Thank you for being interested in becoming a leader (ambassador) with OneShul and it’s parent organization, PunkTorah. Your interest is important, because without people willing to help, we wouldn’t have community!

Below you’ll find more info about us, our projects, and what the community expects from you as a volunteer.

What is OneShul’s mission?
OneShul’s mission is to create a community of engaged, believing, supporting, practicing Jews that are excited about being Jews in the 21st century. We aim to create a Judaism without borders, an approachable and welcoming community that accepts and even encourages honest questions and questioning.

We’re looking for volunteers!

Web & Community Management

  • Post the weekly drash by Rabbi David to the website and cross posting it to Facebook and Tumblr
  • Keep event calendar up-to-date by getting dates/times from service leaders, updating event promo graphics, creating Facebook events, inviting OneShul followers (and sharing with others)
  • Challah Club: adding new people to mailing list, updating/sending monthly challah club newsletter, approving new members to private community
  • Community Management: encouraging community in the private member’s community and/or Challah Club group by posting resources, asking questions, answer questions, and generally engaging the community

Live Streaming Leader

  • Lead Shabbat, Rosh Chodesh, and holiday services. We’re not committed to one style — we love pluralism!
  • Lead Torah study or other classes on a topic you enjoy teaching or facilitating

Must be a tech-friendly person able to problem solve glitches and find your way around basic web-based programs like WordPress, Facebook, and Canva with minimal training/guidance. We will train you in live streaming. Don’t worry — it’s not as hard as you would think!
